The Last Light
Documentary short about lighthouse keepers in Maine. Managed full post-production workflow from rough cut to delivery.
About This Project
“The Last Light” is a documentary short that explores the lives of lighthouse keepers in Maine, capturing their daily routines and the challenges of maintaining these historic beacons. The film was shot over three weeks during the summer season, with multiple crew members documenting the work of the lighthouse team.
As Editor and Colorist, I managed the entire post-production workflow, from organizing hundreds of hours of footage to creating the final color grade. The documentary premiered at the Maine Film Festival and received recognition for its authentic portrayal of maritime culture.
The project was developed through a partnership with the Maine Maritime Museum and featured interviews with longtime lighthouse keepers who shared their experiences working in isolation and harsh conditions.
